GFA sets Match Commissioners seminar for 2026/27 Women’s Premier League

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) will hold a one-day seminar for Match Commissioners appointed to oversee the 2026/27 Womens Premier League on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

The event will take place at the GFA Conference Room in Accra, one week before the new league season begins on the weekend of October 23, 2026.

Match Commissioners from across the country are expected to attend the training, which is designed to strengthen their ability to organise and manage matches throughout the competition.

The programme will cover the duties and responsibilities of Match Commissioners, competition regulations and directives, integrity and ethical standards, and safety and security procedures.

Participants will also receive guidance on match reporting and the use of the Competition Management System (CMS).

Officials from the GFAs Competitions, IT, Refereeing, Integrity, and Safety and Security Departments will lead the various sessions. The training will focus on ensuring that regulations are applied consistently and that Match Commissioners work effectively with referees, clubs and other stakeholders on matchdays.

The seminar is part of the GFAs preparation and capacity-building programme for the new season. It also forms part of the Associations wider effort to improve professionalism and support the smooth organisation of fixtures in the Womens Premier League.

The 2026/27 Womens Premier League will kick off on the weekend of October 23, 2026.
